Maharashtra: Team Thackeray leader shot dead during Facebook Live

Maharashtra: In a shocking turn of events, Abhishek Ghosalkar, son of a prominent Shiv Sena UBT leader was shot dead while doing a Facebook live session on Thursday. The assailant subsequently turned the gun on himself, resulting in the deaths of both individuals. The harrowing incident took place within the jurisdiction of the MHB Colony police station in Dahisar, as confirmed by an official statement.

Abhishek Ghosalkar was the son of Vinod Ghosalkar, a former councilor affiliated with the Uddhav Thackeray faction of the Shiv Sena. The circumstances surrounding the shooting were captured on camera during the Facebook Livestream.

Reportedly, the attack transpired at the office of Mauris Noronha, popularly known as Mauris Bhai, where Ghosalkar had gone. Despite recent reconciliation after a disagreement, Ghosalkar was attending an event at the invitation of Mauris Bhai, which was being webcasted at the time of the incident. Details regarding the motive behind the shooting remain unknown.

Uddhav Sena spokesperson Anand Dubey targeted the Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis's Maharashtra. He alleges that no one is safe in Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis's Maharashtra.

"If a public representative is not safe, then what will be the condition of the public? Sanjay Raut says the government is nurturing musclemen. Today we saw the evidence of it." Dubey said.
