New Delhi: A horrifying incident has come to light from Maharashtra's Beed where a waiter faced a brutal assault after requesting payment for a meal. The incident unfolded when the waiter, who had approached a car with a phone scanner to process the bill, was met with violence rather than payment.

Details of the assault

The unsettling episode began when three customers, who had dined at a local hotel, became enraged when the waiter brought a scanner to process their payment. Instead of settling the bill, the customers forcibly grabbed the waiter and dragged him for one kilometer alongside their vehicle. During this brutal act, the men beat the waiter and stole ₹11,500 from him.

CCTV captures incident 

Following the theft and assault, the attackers blindfolded the waiter and took him to an undisclosed location, where he was held hostage throughout the night. The following morning, he was released in Dharur Taluka. This disturbing sequence of events was captured by CCTV, which showed the attackers leaving the hotel without paying and later assaulting the waiter.

Investigation underway

The waiter's complaint led to the filing of a police case. The accused, identified as Sakharam Janardan Munde and two other unidentified men, are now facing charges under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code. The police are actively investigating the case, seeking to bring the perpetrators to justice.
