Five people killed in explosion at aluminium factory in Nagpur

Five individuals were reported dead when an explosion at an aluminium foil plant in Maharashtra's Nagpur occurred on Wednesday evening. The explosion happened around 7 pm. Following the explosion, there was a massive blaze in the plant, and smoke was reported as much as a kilometer away. Part of the injured had been taken to the hospital, and three are missing, whose death has been confirmed.

Maharashtra: Five individuals were reported dead when an explosion at an aluminium foil plant in Maharashtra's Nagpur occurred on Wednesday evening. The explosion happened around 7 pm. Following the explosion, there was a massive blaze in the plant, and smoke was reported as much as a kilometer away. Part of the injured had been taken to the hospital, and three are missing, whose death has been confirmed. A huge blast occurred at approximately 7 pm on Friday night at an aluminium foil production factory at Umred MIDC in Nagpur.

Six individuals were hurt in the factory blaze

Following the explosion, there was a ferocious fire in the factory, which resulted in the death of five individuals. Two of them passed away in hospital while undergoing treatment, and three individuals are missing, whose death has been confirmed. Six individuals were hurt in the factory blaze and were taken into the Nagpur Government Medical College and Hospital. Two of them died from their injuries, and the remaining injured are being treated. Sight in the vicinity was obscured by dense smoke billowing in the blaze. The smoke was seen from a kilometer away.

Cause of Fire: Aluminum Powder

Police and fire brigade authorities state that the primary cause of the spread of fire was the explosive nature of aluminum powder being utilized in the factory, which led to the spread of the fire very quickly. Attempts were made to put out the fire in the factory, but the situation worsened after the explosion. Identification of dead and missing individuals Nagpur Rural SP Harsh Poddar has confirmed that five individuals have lost their lives in the accident. The victims' identity and missing persons' identity are still being identified, and the police are thoroughly investigating the case.

Relief operations are ongoing on behalf of the administration

Local officials and fire department teams are conducting relief operations. Police authorities mentioned that the factory owner and authorities are being interrogated following this accident. Safety measures are being inspected in the factory so that such accidents are not repeated in the future. The ghastly tragedy has left Nagpur in mourning, and the administration has invested all its might into relief operations.
