Puja Khedkar, a candidate selected for IAS training missed the deadline to report at the training academy. Amid controversies, the accused has failed to report to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie by the deadline, which was set on Tuesday, July 23.
According to the sources, Khedkar was recalled to the academy after her training programme was put on hold and she was asked to report on July 23. Sources claim that her mobile phones are switched off and they have no clue about her whereabouts. Notably, LBSNAA is a training institute for civil servants situated in Mussoorie.
Meanwhile, it is important to note that Khedkar’s training period was terminated by the Maharashtra Addition Chief Secretary Nitin Gadre amid allegations of misusing and submitting false information about her identity to avail more attempts at the civil services exams than eligible for. She allegedly faced the charges of misusing the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) quotas.
Notably, she was booked by the Delhi Police’s Crime Branch for submitting false information. Meanwhile, a single-member committee has been formed by the Centre to probe the documents submitted by Khedkar.
