Jharkhand News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led coalition in election-bound Jharkhand, labeling the alliance as a “Ghuspaithiya Bandhan” (Infiltrators' Alliance) and accusing it of endangering the state’s tribal identity by supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators.

Infiltrators' alliance and mafia's slave

During a rally in Garhwa district, PM Modi sharply criticized the JMM-Congress-RJD coalition for allegedly pandering to Bangladeshi infiltrators. "Appeasement politics has reached its pinnacle in Jharkhand, where the JMM-led coalition is busy supporting Bangladeshi infiltrators," Modi stated, as quoted. He warned that the coalition's policies could result in the shrinking of the tribal population in Jharkhand. “This is a threat to tribal society and the country. This coalition has become a ‘Ghuspaithiya Bandhan’ and a ‘Mafia ka Ghulam,’” he added, underscoring his claims of corruption and infiltration in the region.

Corruption Termites threaten development

Modi’s criticisms did not end with infiltration. He condemned the JMM-Congress-RJD alliance for rampant corruption, which he said has deeply affected marginalized communities in Jharkhand. “Termites of corruption make the country hollow. In Jharkhand, the JMM, Congress, and RJD have crossed all limits,” Modi asserted. He claimed that only the BJP could ensure the state’s security, stability, and prosperity, stating that the BJP guarantees “Suvidha (facilities), Suraksha (security), Sthirta (stability), and Samriddhi (prosperity).”

Vote bank politics with Bangladeshi infiltrators

Prime Minister Modi also alleged that the JMM-led alliance is using Bangladeshi infiltrators as a vote bank, which he said is eroding the state’s social fabric. "If Saraswati Vandana is prevented in schools, you can understand the level of threat," he added, hinting at the alleged cultural shifts due to infiltration. Union Home Minister Amit Shah echoed PM Modi’s concerns, declaring that Bangladeshi infiltrators are affecting tribal demographics in areas such as Santhal Parganas and Kolhan.

Speaking at a rally in Ghatshila, Shah stated, “Our ‘Mati, Beti, Roti’ (land, daughter, bread) are under attack. The BJP will not allow this to continue.” Shah promised stringent legislation to prevent tribal land transfers to infiltrators, pledging to reclaim and safeguard tribal lands.

Election battle for Jharkhand

The high-stakes battle for Jharkhand’s 81-member assembly will unfold in two phases, with elections scheduled on November 13 and November 20, followed by vote counting on November 23. The BJP's focus remains on securing Jharkhand’s future by countering alleged corruption and infiltration, portraying itself as the only party capable of defending Jharkhand’s tribal heritage.
