New delhi: A shocking incident has emerged from Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district where a young man was brutally murdered by five attackers on Saturday afternoon. The attack occurred at Rathore Chowk in Gadaipura, within the jurisdiction of the Hazira police station. The victim, identified as Hrithik Verma was fatally stabbed near a Ganesh pandal by a group of men who had a long-standing dispute with him.

The tension between Hrithik and Deepak had been escalating for the past 15 days. Deepak, seeking revenge, orchestrated the attack on Saturday.

The horrifying incident unfolded around 3 p.m. when Hrithik was standing by a Ganesh pandal in his neighborhood. Deepak, accompanied by his associates Kamal, Rahul Singh, Sahil, and one unidentified individual, arrived on a motorcycle. The group seized Hrithik, dragging him into the street where Deepak repeatedly stabbed him with a knife. The attackers fled the scene, leaving behind the bloody weapon. Bystanders who witnessed the brutal act quickly transported Hrithik to Birla Hospital, but he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Victim’s body sent for post-mortem

Hrithik Verma, originally from Jhansi, had relocated to Gwalior with his family a decade ago. He was undergoing training to become a confectioner at the time of his death. The police have apprehended two of the attackers involved in the crime. The victim’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities are actively pursuing the remaining suspects to bring them to justice.
