New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Madhya Pradesh's Morena where an 11-year-old boy died after he tied a noose around his neck while shooting a prank reel for social media.
A video purportedly depicting the incident that occurred in Ambah town on Saturday evening has emerged and is currently circulating on social media platforms, according to Ravi Bhadoria, the sub-divisional officer of police, who has been following the developments in the case. The video is not being shared due to disturbing elements.
The victim identified as Karan Parmar, a class 7 student, was playing with other children on the vacant plot near his house at the time, he said.
In the disturbing video footage captured by a bystander, a noose is visibly tied around Karan's neck, hanging from a tree. Later, he appears to be in distress, simulating pain while a group of children surrounding him seemingly mistake his actions for a prank performance, utterly unaware that he would soon be unconscious, according to the police investigation.
Upon arriving at the scene, the boy's family members promptly rushed him to a nearby hospital where tragically the medical professionals pronounced him dead upon examination, as reported by the family members themselves.
A formal case has been officially registered in connection with the incident, and a thorough investigation is currently underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
