New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow where a heated argument between two groups at a dhaba led to gunfire. The altercation took place near Chinhat on the Ayodhya Highway on Wednesday causing significant panic and chaos in the area. The firing, which happened around 12:30 AM, has raised serious concerns about public safety.

The incident unfolded when a group of five individuals arrived at the Adarsh Dhaba in a black Fortuner SUV. CCTV footage from the dhaba shows these individuals, including an armed bouncer and four others, stepping out of their vehicle. An argument quickly escalated into a physical confrontation with another group already present at the dhaba.

As tensions flared, the bouncer, who was reportedly accompanied by the brother of a MLA from Barabanki, opened fire into the air. The bouncer fired five rounds, creating a panic-stricken scene as patrons at the dhaba scattered in all directions.

Case has been registered

Upon receiving reports of the incident, the Chinhat police swiftly arrived at the scene. By then, the perpetrators had fled, leaving behind a chaotic scene. The police recovered one live cartridge and four spent shells from the area. They are now using CCTV footage to identify and locate the suspects involved.

The initial police investigation indicates that the firing stemmed from a minor argument that escalated uncontrollably. Station In-Charge Pramod Singh has filed a case based on the complaint. The police are also interviewing local residents to gather more information about the incident and the individuals involved.
