Love turned sour? UP husband brutally gang rapes newlywed wife with three friends, threatens to do THIS if told cops

UP News: A disturbing incident has emerged from Orai in Uttar Pradesh, where a newly married woman has leveled serious accusations against her husband and three of his friends, claiming they gang-raped her. Following her complaint, local police have registered a case against the four individuals and initiated a search for them. The victim has also been sent for a medical examination as part of the investigation.

Details of the incident

The victim, a 22-year-old woman, reported the alleged crime to the Kotwali police, asserting that her husband had assaulted her in collusion with his friends. She described a harrowing experience in which she was threatened with death if she resisted. The couple had entered into a love marriage just a month ago, but the woman claims that she faced harassment from her husband since their wedding in September.

Konch Circle Officer (CO) Archana Singh confirmed that a case has been registered based on the victim's allegations, and an investigation is currently underway. "The woman has been sent for a medical examination, and further legal action will be taken upon receiving the report," she stated.

Context of the marriage

Interestingly, the woman’s love marriage was facilitated by the police when she initially sought help to lodge a complaint against her lover. Officers intervened by calling the families of both parties and arranging the marriage at the Konch police station. 

In a separate yet equally alarming case, a minor girl in the Bilsi police station area of Badayun was found dead after being reported missing. The seven-year-old had vanished while out buying vegetables and was later discovered in a semi-nude state in a derelict house. Following the discovery, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Brijesh Kumar mobilized several police teams and the Special Operations Group (SOG) to expedite the investigation.
