New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Rohipur area where a 25-year-old married woman hanged herself when her husband refused to get her a mobile phone. Family members quickly intervened, brought her down and rushed to the hospital. Doctors pronounced her death when they reached the hospital. Her family back in her hometown was informed about the mishap and preparations for her funeral began. Meanwhile, someone from a family member or neighborhood notified the police, who arrived at the scene, took custody of the body and arranged for a postmortem examination.
This incident occurred in Rohipur, also known as Machli village, within the Kalvari Police Station area. Late on Monday night, Sheila asked her husband Pappu for Rs 35,000 to buy a mobile phone. Pappu began handing over his phone, promising to buy a new one in the morning. This sparked an argument between them.
According to Sheila's mother-in-law, they both went to their room to sleep after an argument. When Pappu woke up the next morning, he discovered that Sheila had hanged herself from the roof of their room. Desperately, he rushed her to the hospital where doctors pronounced Sheila dead. Pappu informed Sheila's relatives about the tragedy. Subsequently, family members took Sheila's body to Tanda Pul for her final rites. As preparations for the cremation were underway, the police arrived and took custody of the body for a postmortem examination.
Eight years ago, Sheila and Pappu fell in love while they were studying together. They got married in 2016. They have two sons, Rishabh (8) and Ritik (4). In this case, SO Bhanu Pratap Singh stated that the body had been taken into custody for a postmortem examination. Once the report comes, the cause of death will be clear.
