New Delhi: In a surprising turn of events, the news of a 70-year-old man marrying a 25-year-old woman has sparked widespread shock and curiosity in Gaya, Bihar. Mohammad Kalimullah Noorani, a resident of Baida village, tied the knot with Reshma Parveen from Islamnagar of Hamzapur Ward No. 11 in Aams block. The marriage ceremony, complete with traditional rituals, attracted attention not only from family and villagers but also from local media who attended as witnesses.
Kalimullah, who refers to himself as 50 years old despite being 70, explained his decision to marry Reshma saying, "There is no age limit for marriage. With no one to take care of me at home, I discussed the idea of marriage with my father, who then accepted the proposal." His wife had previously passed away, leaving him to manage household affairs alone, a situation he found increasingly challenging.
Reshma Parveen, displaying happiness and acceptance during the Nikah ceremony, affirmed her choice to marry Kalimullah. Despite the age difference, both parties entered into the marriage willingly and without external pressure. The union, however, has become a topic of intense discussion throughout the region, with many questioning the rationale behind such a significant age gap.
