Crime News: In a chilling tale of love gone wrong, a brutal murder has emerged from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. A young man named Jaiprakash fell victim to a deadly plot orchestrated by his girlfriend and her family, culminating in a gruesome murder that involved dismemberment and deceit.
Jaiprakash, who had been in a relationship with a woman from Sahebganj for three years, was lured back to Muzaffarpur from Goa under the pretext of marriage. The girlfriend, with the help of her father, brothers, and brother-in-law, meticulously planned his murder. According to the police, the woman invited Jaiprakash to her maternal uncle's rented room after a meal at a hotel. It was there that her brother allegedly slit Jaiprakash’s throat and disemboweled him, before continuing to stab his lifeless body. The family then placed the body in a sack, transported it on a bicycle, and discarded it a short distance from the scene of the crime.
Jaiprakash and his girlfriend's relationship had soured over time. Once in love, the couple began to drift apart when the woman moved to Patna for her BPSC preparations. Communication dwindled, and tensions escalated as Jaiprakash was suspected of infidelity. Despite his efforts to reconcile, the relationship deteriorated further, leading to a series of heated arguments.
Jaiprakash, who had financially supported his girlfriend during her illness and on other occasions, began sending her objectionable photos and videos to her relatives in a fit of rage after feeling betrayed. This act reportedly prompted death threats from the woman's family, setting the stage for the heinous crime.
Despite fears for his life, Jaiprakash was persuaded by the woman to return to Muzaffarpur with promises of marriage. Upon arrival, they met at a hotel, had breakfast, and then proceeded to the room where he would meet his tragic end. The girlfriend’s family, already lying in wait, executed the premeditated murder.
The police cracked the case after reviewing CCTV footage that captured the suspects transporting the body on a bicycle. Further investigation, including a mobile tower dump, confirmed the presence of the girlfriend and her accomplices at the scene. The girl's cousin, Ravindra Mahato, was arrested and confessed to the crime during interrogation. The girlfriend and other family members remain at large, with police raids continuing.
Adding another layer to this horrifying case, an audio clip has surfaced in which Jaiprakash expresses his fear of being killed while his girlfriend reassures him of her intentions to marry him. This conversation took place just days before his mutilated body was discovered in a sack on August 14 in Sahajanand Colony.
Jaiprakash’s mother, Rambha Devi, has since filed an FIR against the girlfriend, her father, brother, and brother-in-law, accusing them of her son’s murder.
