The political landscape in India has always been intricately linked with cultural and religious events, and the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is no exception. However, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has raised eyebrows by accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of turning this sacred occasion into a political spectacle.

Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena leader, criticising BJP, has alleged that they are using the Ram Mandir inauguration as a platform for their political agenda. Raut goes a step further by suggesting that the BJP might soon declare Lord Ram as their election candidate.

Meanwhile, in a scathing remark, Sanjay Raut claimed that the Ram Mandir inauguration is being treated as a ‘BJP event’ rather than a national one. He accuses the BJP of holding rallies and campaigning extensively for the function, questioning the purity of their intentions.

Lord Ram as BJP's election candidate

Raut's critique takes a satirical turn as he suggests that the BJP might go so far as to announce Lord Ram as their candidate for upcoming elections. Responding to queries about the invitation to the consecration ceremony, Raut quips that the only thing left is for the BJP to officially declare Lord Ram as their candidate.

While acknowledging the significance of the Ram Temple, Raut, however, hinted at Uddhav Thackeray's attendance.

Raut contended that the BJP's extensive campaigning is a deliberate attempt to divert public attention from pressing national issues such as unemployment and inflation. This assertion sheds light on the broader political strategy that Raut believes the BJP is employing.
