In a significant breakthrough, Varanasi Police apprehended 15 women involved in stealing gold chains and mangalsutras from devotees attending the Shiv Mahapuran Katha by renowned orator Pradeep Mishra. The arrests were made at the Katha venue in Domri. Authorities recovered two gold chains and nine mangalsutras worth an estimated ₹10 lakh from the accused women.Caught through CCTV surveillanceThe police relied on CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the suspects.
