Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party (JSP)  announced on Saturday that they will contest the upcoming polls together with the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Seat-sharing between TDP-BJP and Jana Sena

Giving a joint statement on the alliance, BJP President JP Nadda, Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyana said, BJP-TDP and Jana Sena have decided to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections together for the progress of Andhra Pradesh and the country.

PM Modi to hold a big joint rally

According to sources, PM Modi may hold a big joint rally with TDP Chandrababu Naidu in Guntur district on March 17. However, official information regarding this has not been revealed yet.

Seat sharing formula ready

Andhra Pradesh, the seat sharing formula has reportedly been finalized between BJP, Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena. The consensus regarding seat sharing between the three parties is expected to be announced soon.

Know expected seat sharing

Meeting of BJP, TDP and Jana Sena was held on Friday and during that time at midnight an agreement was reached between the three parties. BJP and Jana Sena are likely to get around 8 out of 24 Lok Sabha seats. Also, both the parties are expected to get 28 to 32 seats in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections and TDP will contest all the remaining seats. Meanwhile, there are 25 Lok Sabha and 175 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh. This means that the BJP will get 5 Lok Sabha and 6 assembly seats.

Meanwhile, senior TDP leader Kinjarapu Atchannaidu, while talking to the media in Vijayawada, said that Chandrababu Naidu has reached Delhi on the invitation of BJP leaders. The initial round of talks has been completed. TDP, BJP and Jana Sena have decided to contest elections together in the state.

It is said the BJP and the TDP had a very old relationship together. The TDP joined the NDA in 1996 and worked together successfully in Atal Ji's and Narendra Modi's government. In 2014, the BJP and TDP fought the Lok Sabha election and assembly election together.
