Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Amid swirling political speculations in Madhya Pradesh, Congress' Rajya Sabha member, Digvijaya Singh, has vehemently dismissed reports suggesting that Kamal Nath, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, may defect to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Singh asserted that he had a conversation with Nath, confirming that Nath harbors no intention of aligning with the saffron party.

Addressing the media in Jabalpur on Saturday, Digvijaya Singh, a close associate of Kamal Nath, stated, "I spoke to Kamal Nath ji last night on a phone call. He has no intent to leave Congress for the BJP. Kamal Nath is not going anywhere."

In further elaboration, Digvijaya emphasized Nath's unwavering allegiance to the Nehru-Gandhi family, highlighting his steadfast support even during challenging political times. He underscored Nath's longstanding association with the Congress party and the Nehru-Gandhi legacy, dismissing any notion of Nath's defection to another political faction.

In a separate statement, Digvijaya Singh reiterated concerns regarding the integrity of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), alleging manipulation to favor the central government. He advocated for the return to ballot paper voting in Lok Sabha elections, citing perceived flaws in the electronic voting system.
