As Lok Sabha Elections are approaching soon, Prime Minister Narendra Modi geared up for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, and has already kick started with the first electoral rally scheduled in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr on January 25. The timing of this event is extremely intriguing as just three days have passed since the new Ram Lalla idol was dedicated and the grand opening of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

The rally is not just a strategic activity by the BJP but is also a move by the party to consolidate its grip on the heartland.

The Significance of Bulandshahr Rally

The rally in Bulandshahr holds immense significance as it is poised to kick off the election campaign for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. This move underscores the BJP's focus on western Uttar Pradesh and the determination to regain seats lost in the 2019 elections. With eight out of 14 seats under their belt in the region, the BJP aims to reverse the tide and strengthen its position.

Preparations and Anticipation

Party workers and BJP leaders are actively involved in the preparations for the Bulandshahr rally, anticipating a substantial turnout in the western Uttar Pradesh city. The strategic choice of Bulandshahr as the campaign launch site indicates a targeted approach to connect with voters and supporters in areas where the party faced defeats in the previous elections.

Strategies for 2024 Elections

Prime Minister Modi's rally in Bulandshahr is expected to set the tone for the BJP's strategies in the upcoming polls. The party aims to communicate its vision, connect with the electorate, and share the mantra for victory. With an eye on the eight seats in western Uttar Pradesh, the PM is likely to address key issues and outline the party's plans for the region.

Expectations for the Rally

The BJP claims that around five lakh people will attend PM Modi's rally in Bulandshahr. The chosen venue, Navada village, is expected to witness a significant gathering, showcasing the party's strength and support in the region. The rally, featuring a shooting range field in Meerut Commissionerate, is designed to resonate with the interests and sentiments of the local population.

From new voters to scheme beneficiaries

In anticipation of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the Bharatiya Janata Party is intensifying its outreach initiatives to the people on various fronts. According to the official information, on Thursday, to practically reach out to 50,000 new voters while campaigning in Bulandshahr.

Additionally, it has been learned that the party is preparing to unveil its initial slate of candidates shortly. In order to give its candidates enough time to prepare on the ground, the party's top leadership is reportedly scheduled to convene later this month to confirm the candidates for the challenging seats. They suggested that 150–160 individuals might be chosen in the near future.

Political Alliances and Opposition Response

In the backdrop of the BJP's election preparations, Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav announced an alliance with the Rashtriya Lok Dal for the Lok Sabha polls. Yadav emphasizes the need for a strong ‘INDIA alliance’ with further talks scheduled with the Congress to finalize seat-sharing formulas in the state.

Akhilesh Yadav's Strategy

Akhilesh Yadav, in a recent meeting in Lucknow, stressed that winnability would be the criterion in decisions on seats. He urged party workers to ensure the registration of voters who support the party, accusing the BJP government in the state of removing some party workers' names from the voter list.

Seat-Sharing Talks

The Congress and the Samajwadi Party are currently engaged in seat-sharing talks for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls expected in April-May this year. The outcome of these discussions will play a crucial role in shaping the political landscape in Uttar Pradesh.

The Lok Sabha elections are expected to take place in April-May 2024.
