As Lok Sabha Elections are approaching, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to take part in over 140 public events across the country in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections, according to the sources.In addition, the BJP will conduct an outreach programme from February 4 to 11 called Gaaon Chalo Abhiyan, or travel to villages campaign, in which a minimum of one-party representative will be present in each of Indias seven lakh villages as well as every urban booth to educate voters about the welfare and development projects carried out by the Narendra Modi administration.Apart from this, PM Modi will interact with and seek real-time evaluations of candidates fielded by the party from office-bearers appointed in charge of more than 140 Parliamentary constituency clusters by the BJP following the Ram temple Pran Pratistha ceremony, according to the sources. The events will involve rallies, public meetings, and road shows of varying magnitude.According to the sources, this campaign Gaaon Chalo Abhiyan will make sure that the party gets at least 51 percent votes in each booth, and surpass that figure in case they had already secured that much in that booth in 2019.The party has also determined the way teams will be formed for the campaign, state-level teams will have one convenor and four co-convenors, district teams will have one convenor and two co-convenors, mandal teams will have one convenor and one co-convenor. There will be a co-convenor and there will be a coordinator in the village and urban teams, as per sources.After the campaign is over, the migrant workers will visit the village or town once in 15 days till the end of the Lok Sabha elections. “Each such cluster, comprising seven to eight Lok Sabha seats, is led by a local BJP leader who is not contesting the elections,” the source said. The Prime Minister will visit at least one constituency from each cluster for an event, a big rally or at least a road show and interact with the cluster in-charge as well as representatives of the local leadership of the remaining constituencies.
