The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its first list of 195 candidates for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 on Saturday. The list includes 34 Union Ministers, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The much-anticipated list was presented by the party with the adoption of numerous significant decisions. The names of two former chief ministers and Speaker of the Lok Sabha, Shri Om Birla, are also included. 28 of the applicants are female. 47 candidates are younger than 50. The list also includes 18 ST candidates and 27 SC candidates. Apart from this, 57 OBC candidates will contest out of these 195.BJP announced candidates on 51 seats from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from West Bengal, 24 from Madhya Pradesh, 15 each from Gujarat and Rajasthan, 12 from Kerala, 9 seats from Telangana, 11 from Assam, 11 each from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, 5 from Delhi, 2 from J&K, 3 from Uttarakhand, 2 from Arunachal Pradesh and 1 each from Goa, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar and Daman & Diu.Two leaders have already stepped aside:Two well-known figures had already distanced themselves from the polls before the release of this BJP list. Both Jayant Sinha, the son of former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha, and East Delhi MP Gautam Gambhir announced on Saturday that they will not be running for office in the next elections. The two leaders requested that Prime Minister Narendra Modi release them from the polls in a tweet.According to the sources, it is said that the list has been prepared after long meetings.
