Lok Sabha Elections 2024: In a significant development coinciding with the BJPs release of its first list of 195 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP, received a big boost as Jayant Chaudharys Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) formally joined the coalition. Uttar Pradesh-based party had previously been associated with the opposition INDI-alliance but had been signaling a potential switch for some time.Announcing the swap of the RLD, and joining into the NDA, BJP President JP Nadda took to X to share photos of Jayant Chaudharys meeting with him and Home Minister Amit Shah.
