In a recent announcement, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed the distribution formula of Lok Sabha seats among political allies for the upcoming elections. Sarma emphasized mutual support among the allies, stating that they will back each others candidates across all 14 constituencies.BJP aims to win 11 out of 11Addressing the press, Sarma expressed confidence in the BJPs prospects, asserting that the party aims to secure victory in 11 seats. He highlighted the commitment to vigorously contest all constituencies while remaining optimistic about achieving success in 11 of them.Regarding candidate selection, Sarma noted the inclusion of new faces due to the voluntary withdrawal of certain incumbent MPs. This is because there are many existing MPs from the BJPs side who expressed their desire not to contest and devote their time and energy for the party, the Assam Chief Minister said.Currently, the BJP holds nine seats in the Lok Sabha from Assam, with no representation for AGP and UPPL. So these two are very important joining for us and I am sure that there will be many more joining in days to come, he stated.Assams CM on decline of CongressReflecting on the alleged decline of the Congress party, Sarma attributed it to incidents such as Rahul Gandhis absence from the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. He predicted a dwindling presence of members within the Congress party, except for a few, over the coming months and years. Sarma concluded by expressing hope for additional defections in the days ahead.
