The second meeting of the Central Election Committee (CEC) meeting of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) was concluded on Monday night. According to the sources, a second list of 90 candidates have been finalized for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.According to the sources, the names of 90 candidates from across seven states have been finalized and anticipated to be announced soon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president JP Nadda, among others were part of the crucial meeting. The sources added that there may be delays in completing the candidate lists for Bihar, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha because of current coalition discussions in these states.Talks for 11 seats of Gujarat was also held and that the names for seven of them had been decided.Four of the five seats up for grab in Madhya Pradesh were agreed upon during the last round of negotiations. The names of candidates for the 28 seats in Karnataka, eight in Telangana, and 25 in Maharashtra were discussed. Sources, however, indicated that JD(S) is probably going to win three seats in Karnataka. Furthermore, talks for Himachal Pradesh seats were also held.The first list of 195 candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, which will be held in April and May, were declared by the party on March 2.
