Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Actress Sambhavna Seth, who made a foray into politics a year ago by joining Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, has announced her departure from the party. In a social media post on Sunday, she candidly expressed her realization of her mistake and declared her decision to part ways with AAP.
In her tweet on X, Seth reflected on her journey with AAP, acknowledging the fallibility of human decisions despite the initial enthusiasm to serve the country. She stated, "Joined @AamAadmiParty a year back wid a lot of enthusiasm to serve for my country bt no matter hw wisely U take a decision U can still go wrong bcz at the end of the day we r humans."
Sambhavna Seth had formally joined AAP at its headquarters in Delhi last year, in the presence of senior party figures including Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh and AAP's national general secretary (organisation) Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak. She had expressed her admiration for Arvind Kejriwal's policies and vision, which motivated her to align with the party.
Despite actively promoting and campaigning for AAP on social media platforms and lauding Kejriwal's leadership until January this year, Seth has chosen to step away from the party. Her departure comes at a crucial juncture as the Lok Sabha elections draw near.
The actress has yet to unveil the specific reasons behind her decision to quit AAP, leaving her followers and political observers intrigued. Her departure marks a significant shift in the political landscape, underscoring the complexities and dynamics of electoral alliances and individual choices in the run-up to the elections.
