New Delhi: A week-long investigation has culminated in the arrest of a man accused of murdering his live-in partner, Pinky Sagar, in a shocking incident that has rocked Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
Love turns deadly
28-year-old Pinky, who had been separated from her husband for six years, reportedly entered into a relationship with Jogendra Yadav. The couple started living shortly after. However, their love story took a tragic turn on May 3.
Night of intoxication and abuse
According to Inspector Sanjay Tomar, the events unfolded when Jogendra took Pinky to a friend's house. There, the couple reportedly consumed a significant amount of alcohol, leading to Pinky becoming highly intoxicated and verbally abusive towards Jogendra.
Fatal altercation
The argument escalated further after they returned home. Despite Jogendra's attempts to calm the situation, Pinky's alleged continued abuse reportedly enraged him. In a fit of anger, Jogendra attacked Pinky with a chopper, tragically ending her life.
Justice served
Following a week-long investigation, the police apprehended Jogendra. Inspector Tomar confirmed the recovery of the murder weapon, a chopper, along with Pinky's scooter.
