In a shocking event early Saturday morning, a leopard was spotted inside the basement of a private hospital in Chomu, Rajasthan. The wild animal took shelter in the basement of the Rajasthan Nursing Hospital on Jaipur Road, which was used to store beds, bikes, and other equipment. The incident has alarmed hospital staff and the families of patients, as CCTV footage showed the leopard prowling around the storage area.

The leopard reportedly entered the basement around 2 AM, but it wasn't until 5 AM that hospital staff and relatives of patients noticed the animal. The frightening footage has raised concerns for the safety of patients, especially considering that the hospital is located in a densely populated area with schools and other hospitals nearby.

By 9 AM, a rescue team from the Forest Department in Jaipur reached the hospital to begin efforts to track and capture the leopard. Using firecrackers to locate the animal, officials suspect the leopard may have retreated into an empty plot behind the hospital. This area, covered with thick thorny bushes, is being cleared by a JCB machine to facilitate the rescue operation.

In addition to the Forest Department’s efforts, Chomu Police are also at the scene to assist with the situation. The hospital, its patients, and their families remain on edge, fearing the leopard may still be in the vicinity.

CCTV cameras have been installed at four strategic locations to monitor the area closely. While rescue efforts are ongoing, there are still no reports of the leopard being captured, leaving those in the area anxious about a potential attack.
