Leave paper blank! Deputy Superintendent of exam center demands Rs 10 lakh to help NEET aspirant with answers; arrested

Deputy Superintendent of the exam center took Rs 7 lakh in advance from one of the NEET aspirants in Godhara, which has been seized by the officials.

A shameful incident has been reported from Gujarat’s Godhra where a criminal case has been registered against a school teacher who was allegedly involved in trying to help the NEET aspirants with the answers. According to the sources, the teacher is accused of helping six children appear for the competitive exam by promising them to help solve the paper for a sum of Rs 10 lakh each.

The crime came to light when a tip-off came to the district collector that some people were involved in malpractice at the Godhra School was a designated center for the medical entrance exam on Sunday, as per FIR.

The accused has been identified as Tushar Bhatt who was a physics teacher and was designated as deputy superintendent of the exam center, was booked along with two others – Parsuram Roy and Arif Vora as an advance to help a candidate get into the merit list.

As per the investigation, the aspirants were asked to answer the questions and leave the questions whose answers they did not know. The answers will be filled in once they are collected back, says FIR. Soon after getting the information a team of officials reached the exam center and interrogated Bhatt, wherein he confessed to having been promised Rs 10 lakh each to solve the paper. One of the aspirants gave him Rs 7 lakh in advance which has been seized by the officials. 

Meanwhile, the investigation team has seized the mobile phone, car and cash and submitted the report to the district collector. Now, the police have initiated the investigation and questioning all three accused in the case.
