New Delhi: Amidst the increasing number of victims reported from the fire at Mangaf in Kuwait, Nalinakshan's heroic escape from Trikaripur, Kerala, has come to light as a testament to quick thinking and a bright spot. Family members of Thazhathu Nalinakshan, who has worked for NBTC for the past 25 years as a driver, said that on Wednesday morning, the building caught fire and smoke, trapping him on the third level.

Nalinakshan's uncle TV Balakrishnan stated, "We got information about 11 am on Wednesday that Nalinakshan had escaped from the roaring fire by falling from the third story to the water tank below and landing on the sheet roofing of the tank." Nalinakshan had surgery on Thursday after suffering many rib fractures.
