Lawrence - A Gangster Story: Web series to be made on 'rise of Bishnoi'

Lawrence Bishnoi web series: In the midst of recent reports about gangster Lawrence Bishnoi issuing threats against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, news has surfaced that a web series will be produced, focusing on the life of the infamous criminal. Titled Lawrence - A Gangster Story, the series is expected to delve into the rise of Bishnoi, a notorious figure linked to organized crime.

Lawrence Bishnoi's life to hit the screen?

According to media reports, Jani Firefox Film Production will soon launch the web series based on Lawrence Bishnoi’s life. The Indian Motion Pictures Association has reportedly given the green light to the title Lawrence - A Gangster Story. The series is expected to explore Bishnoi’s transformation into one of India's most feared gangsters. Despite being incarcerated since 2014, Bishnoi continues to run a vast criminal network, both in India and abroad.

Amit Jani, the head of Jani Firefox Film Production, shared that his goal is to engage the audience with a “dramatic and true-to-life story” about the gangster’s journey. Known for producing real-life stories like A Tailor Murder Story and Karachi to Noida, Jani’s work is anticipated to give a gripping portrayal of the criminal underworld. The specific aspects of Bishnoi’s life that will be covered in the series remain to be seen.

Salman Khan receives new threats

In the wake of these developments, security at Salman Khan’s residence has been significantly heightened. The actor received a death threat via WhatsApp, demanding ₹5 crore to settle his “long-standing rivalry” with Bishnoi. The message warned, "If Salman Khan wants to stay alive and end the enmity with Lawrence Bishnoi, he must pay ₹5 crore, or he will meet the same fate as Baba Siddique.”

This follows the recent murder of politician Baba Siddique, which occurred on October 12 in Mumbai. Four individuals have already been arrested in connection with Siddique's assassination, further intensifying the focus on Bishnoi and his gang.
