Law student beaten to death with rods, bricks; Brutal assault caught on camera | VIDEO

In a horrific incident, a 22-year-old final-year law student of BN College in Patna was beaten to death by 7-8 masked men on the college's campus. 

Harsh Raj who was planning to contest the upcoming students' union elections for the post of President was brutally killed by the assailants after he stepped out of examination hall after writing his exams. He was also seen campaigning for Shambhavi Choudhary, the LJP (RV) candidate from Samastipur Lok Sabha seat. 

Video viral 

The video of the horrific murder has surfaced in which the miscreants are seen taking Harsh to the corner near the parking area of the college. They started attacking him with rods and bricks. It is evidently seen that none of the onlookers come to his rescue. The boy was later admitted to Patna Medical College Hospital but was declared dead by the doctors. 

Police action initiated 

Dasrath RS, additional superintendent of police of Patna City has said that the student was killed by 7-8 criminals who had brutally assaulted him. The police is collecting evidence in connection to the case. Efforts are underway to trace all the assailants. The police also highlighted that initial investigations into the matter have revealed that Harsh fought with some students during Dussehra over organising a dandiya event. The police are yet to identify the real reason behind this brutal attack and murder of the young boy.  

Election-related issue 

The father of the deceased, Ajit Kumar, a journalist by profession working for a Hindi daily in Vaishali said that his son was stressed after he had started preparing for the upcoming students' union elections at Patna University.
