17 people, including Lalu Prasad Yadav to be summoned before CBI court today

According to the reports, the special court has asked them to be physically present for the hearing on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the CBI has already served summons to all 17 people in this case.

Notably, the land-for-job scam took place during the second tenure of the UPA government when Lalu Pradesh was the Union Railway Minister.

Home Ministry on land-for-job case

On September 12, the Home Ministry gave the order to lodge a case against the RDJ chief and the special CBI court admitted the case. The court then accepted the chargesheet filed against Tejashwi Yadav as well. The CBI has claimed in a chargesheet that Tejashwi Yadav is an accused in this case.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Lalu Prasad Yadav said, “Hearings keep happening…Have to done anything that we need to be scared about?”
