After recovering from kidney surgery, Lalu Prasad Yadav is now ready to play badminton. A video shared by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, shows his father trying his hand at badminton.

Here’s the video:

In the video shared on Instagram, set to an old Hindi song, Dhal Gaya Din Ho Gayi Shah, which also features badminton, Lalu Yadav can be seen smiling after he hits the shuttle over the net.

While referring to his father’s long legal battle in corruption cases, and allegations of the BJP using central probe agencies to silence him, the deputy chief minister wrote in Hindi, ” Didn’t learn to fear, didn’t learn to bow down.”

“Has fought, will fight, will not be afraid of jail and will win in the end,” it added.

Lalu Prasad Yadav’s medical condition

For seven months, the RJD supremo was away from Bihar amid his kidney transplant in Singapore and convalesced at his eldest daughter Misa Bharti’s house in the national capital.

Earlier this year, he returned to India after undergoing a kidney transplant surgery in Singapore in December 2022. Yadav Senior was unwell and under treatment in Singapore.

The 75-year-old leader was suffering from acute kidney complications and was advised a kidney transplant. Rohini, one of his daughters, came forward as a donor.

The transplant was successfully completed on December 5, last year. The former Bihar CM is serving jail sentences in several fodder scam cases and is currently out on bail on medical grounds.
