New Delhi: Chairman of the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Mukti Nirman Trust, Ashutosh Pandey has accused Swami Premanand Maharaj of fraud and deception. In a stern letter, Pandey has demanded that Premanand undergo a kidney examination at a government hospital and make the results public within a month.
Swami Premanand Maharaj of Radha Nikunj Ashram has been a controversial figure in recent years. A recent public dispute between him and Madhya Pradesh storyteller Pradeep Mishra regarding Radharani's birthplace caught significant attention. Premanand harshly criticized Mishra, leading to Mishra's public apology at Barsana.
Pandey's letter accuses Premanand Maharaj of faking illness and neglecting the cause of protecting Lord Krishna's birthplace. "If your kidney is really bad, get it checked in a government hospital and release the report publicly," Pandey wrote. He further stated, "Saints like you are cheating in the name of Lord Krishna. You should support those fighting for the land of Shri Krishna's birthplace."
Pandey has given Premanand Maharaj a one-month ultimatum to comply with his demand. Failure to do so, according to Pandey, will result in legal action from the trust. The letter underscores Pandey's frustration with what he perceives as Premanand's insincerity and lack of commitment to the cause of Krishna's birthplace.
Originally named Anirudh Kumar Pandey, Premanand Maharaj hails from Kanpur. He has dedicated his life to the service of Radharani and Lord Shri Krishna. Despite his spiritual dedication, these recent allegations have cast a shadow over his reputation.
As of now, there has been no response from Premanand Maharaj regarding the allegations made by Ashutosh Pandey. The public and followers await his clarification and the resolution of this controversy.
