New Delhi: In a distressing incident that has sparked outrage, an 8-year-old Dalit boy in Kota, Rajasthan, was subjected to severe humiliation and assault. The boy was allegedly stripped naked, forced to dance, and filmed after being accused of stealing wire at a local event.
The incident unfolded during a comedy event at a fair in GAD Circle, where the young boy was attending. According to the complaint lodged by his father, between 1 am and 4 am, the boy was held by four to five men. They accused him of theft, leading to a brutal assault where he was not only stripped but also coerced into dancing while being recorded.

Following the discovery of the video by the police, an FIR was registered under stringent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO). This led to the arrest of six individuals, including a father-son duo identified as:
Kshitij Gurjar alias Bittu (24)
Ashish Upadhyay alias Vikku (52) and his son Yayati Upadhyay alias Gungun (24)
Gourav Soni (21)
Sandeep Singh alias Rahul Bannasha (30)
Sumit Kumar Sain (25)
These men, reportedly part of a music firm, were suspected of the theft of their equipment by the boy, leading to the assault.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Manish Sharma stated during the preliminary investigation that the accused were involved due to their suspicion over the theft of their music system's wire. The accused were subsequently produced in court.
