In a shocking revelation, the prime suspect in the horrific rape and murder of a trainee doctor at RG Kar Hospital, Kolkata, has confessed to not only committing the heinous crime but also molesting another woman on the same night. CBI sources have confirmed that Sanjay Roy, the accused, disclosed these details during interrogation.Night of Horror: A Detailed ConfessionAccording to the sources close to CBI, Roy provided a detailed account of his movements on the night of August 8 during the interrogation. He admitted to visiting two red-light districts in Kolkata but claimed that he did not engage in sexual activities. However, he confessed to molesting a woman on the street, an incident captured by surveillance cameras. Disturbingly, Roy also revealed that he had a video call with his girlfriend during which he requested and received nude photos.Timeline of EventsInvestigation further reveals that Roy, accompanied by a friend, left RG Kar Hospital after inquiring about the friends brother, who was admitted there. The duo then purchased alcohol and drank on the road.The two men first visited Sonagachi, a well-known red-light area in north Kolkata, but left without engaging in any activities. They then headed to Chetla, another red-light district in south Kolkata. During their journey, they molested a woman on the street. While Roys friend engaged with a woman in Chetla, Roy stood outside and made a video call to his girlfriend, during which he asked for and received nude photos.Roy and his friends, then returned to RG Kar Hospital, where he was later captured on CCTV at 4:03 AM, heading towards the seminar hall where the victim was sleeping. He subsequently strangled and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene.Further InvestigationsCBI sources have also uncovered a significant amount of pornographic content on Roys mobile phone, including incest videos, prompting a psychological evaluation. Roy, who was arrested by Kolkata Police on August 10, just a day after the doctors body was discovered, was subjected to a lie detector test on Sunday.Meanwhile, it is important to note that the Calcutta High Court ordered the transfer of the investigation from the Kolkata Police to the CBI on August 13, following concerns that local police may have attempted to cover up the crime. The CBI has also alleged that the crime scene was tampered with before they took over the probe.
