West Bengal News: In a shocking incident that has sent ripples through the community, Kolkata Police have arrested a doctor for allegedly raping a 26-year-old female patient at his clinic in Hasnabad, North 24 Parganas. The accused, identified as Nur Alam Sardar, reportedly injected the victim with sedatives before filming the horrific act, subsequently using the video to blackmail her.Details of the IncidentThe case came to light when the victim, accompanied by her husband, filed a First Information Report (FIR) with the Hasnabad Police earlier this week. According to reports, Sardar not only assaulted the woman multiple times but also threatened to release the explicit footage on social media if she did not comply with his demands. He extorted ₹4 lakh from her, further compounding her trauma.Authorities acted swiftly upon receiving the complaint, apprehending the accused at his clinic-cum-residence in the Barunhat area. The accused, a registered medical practitioner, was arrested for allegedly raping his patient after rendering her unconscious. An investigation is underway in this connection.
