A shocking case of inhumanity towards Mahendra Singh, a youth from the Banjara community, has emerged in Guna. His relatives held him hostage for three days, forcing him to drink urine, garlanding him with shoes, shaving his head, blackening his face, and making him wear a ghagra. The entire village witnessed his humiliation, which was recorded and made viral.

Forced to drink urine

Mahendra Singh revealed that his ordeal began when Saudan Singh, Guman Singh, and Omkar Singh Banjara kidnapped him from Senbot intersection in the Fatehgarh police station area. They took him to Atru, Jhalawar village in Rajasthan, where he was beaten by Badan Banjara, Chhotu, Ramesh, Toofan, Prem, Genda, Kaluram, Gulab, and Mathuribai. After the beating, he was forced to drink urine, garlanded with shoes, had his head shaved, and was paraded around the village with a blackened face, wearing a ghagra. Humiliated and ashamed, Mahendra stated that if no action is taken against his tormentors, he might be driven to suicide.

Kidnappers demanded Rs 25 lakh

The kidnappers demanded Rs 25 lakh from Mahendra, eventually releasing him after he promised to pay Rs 20 lakh within three days. The root of this brutality lies in family tensions—Mahendra's cousin ran away from her abusive marriage to Ramesh Banjara in Rajasthan, inciting the relatives' anger.

Police action in this matter

Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Sinha confirmed that a complaint has been lodged and that strict action will be taken against the accused, who are from Rajasthan. A police team has been formed to arrest them, with viral videos being used as evidence. Given the gravity of the situation, authorities are committed to ensuring justice for Mahendra Singh, promising swift and stringent measures against those responsible.
