Pat Nibin Maxwell, an Indian man 31 years old, was killed horribly on Monday in a missile strike close to the Israel-Lebanon border. Two others, Paul Melvin and Bush Joseph George, were also injured in the attack, which was directed towards an orchard in northern Israel.

Maxwell, originally from Kerala's Kollam district, had barely been in Israel for two months when he left behind his daughter, five years old, and his pregnant wife. His wife called his relatives on Monday night to break the heartbreaking news of his initial injuries and eventual death. Maxwell’s wife is now seven months pregnant with the second child.

While speaking to the media, Maxwell’s father stated, "He was in Muscat and Dubai and then returned home, he then went to Israel. First, my elder son went there. A week later, younger son also followed him."

According to the sources, Maxwell’s body will be repatriated to Kerala within the next four days after the formalities.
Meanwhile, the Indian embassy has condemned the attack and issued an advisory urging Indian nationals to relocate to safe areas of Israel.

"In view of the prevailing security situation and local safety advisories, all Indians nationals in Israel, especially those working in or visiting border areas in the north and south, are advised to relocate to safe areas within Israel. The Embassy remains in touch with the Israeli authorities to ensure the safety of all our nationals," Indian embassy in Israel said in an official statement.
