New Delhi: An alarming incident of attempted kidnapping took place in the Sadar Kotwali area of Kannauj district, Uttar Pradesh, where four schoolchildren narrowly escaped abduction. The incident occurred when three suspects attempted to kidnap the students who were returning home from school. The kidnappers had targeted the children in Balapir Mohalla and initially managed to capture them. However, their plan was thwarted due to an unexpected fuel shortage in their getaway vehicle.

Struggling to execute their plan, the kidnappers forced the students at knifepoint into a nearby junk warehouse, intending to hold them there. Fortunately, one of the students managed to escape and shouted for help, attracting the attention of passersby. Hearing the distress calls, locals quickly gathered at the scene, forcing the kidnappers to flee before they could harm the children or take them away.
