Karnataka bride, groom land into legal trouble after appealing 'Vote For Modi' as wedding gift on card

The wedding season is going on in full swing in the country. It stand as significant milestones in life, symbolizing love, commitment, and celebration. So, this wedding season a case has resurfaced on social media, a bride and groom has asked people attending their wedding to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on their wedding card. However, this has casted the duo dearly as Uppinangadi police has filed a case against them. 

What was on invitation card? 

In the wedding invitation letter, the bride and groom has urged guests to vote for PM Modi as a gift to the bride and groom. Earlier, the father of a bridegroom in Telangana asked guests to not bring any gifts at the event. Instead, he made an appeal to the guests requesting to vote for PM Modi ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. 

Police registered a case 

After complaint issued by the officers of the Election Code of Conduct Enforcement Monitoring Team against the bride and groom, the police have registered a case against the duo.
