New Delhi: As the Kanwar Yatra begins, Swami Yashveer Maharaj has made a request. He wants all Hindu hotel and dhaba owners to show their faith proudly. He asks them to write their names in bold letters, display a photocopy of their Aadhar card, fly a saffron flag and put up a picture of Lord Varaha.

Swami Maharaj says this will help devotees find places serving pure Satvik food during their journey. He believes this will strengthen Hindu identity and unity. He was the first to ask for this 'nameplate' of faith.

Court order is not for us: Swami Maharaj

Name disclosure not mandatory: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has temporarily stayed a directive that mandated eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh to display the names of their owners on Monday. This comes after state governments made it compulsory for eateries to showcase owners' names, however Supreme Court's stay order has now put this requirement on hold.
