Kanwariyas attack four muslim youths in car, video sparks outrage

New Delhi: In Meerut, a live video has emerged showing a tense and violent incident involving a group of Kanwadis and a car with four Muslim youths. The video, which has quickly gone viral, depicts the Kanwadis—pilgrims participating in the Kanwar Yatra—attacking the vehicle with sticks.

According to reports, the altercation began when the Kanwadis accused the driver of the car of deliberately hitting a Kanwar. In response, the Kanwadis started pelting the car with sticks. Faced with the escalating violence, three of the youths inside the car quickly exited and fled the scene.

Severly beaten by the crowd 

However, one youth remained inside the vehicle and was subsequently apprehended by the Kanwadis. The footage shows him being severely beaten by the crowd. The Kanwadis allege that the driver’s actions were intentional and provoked the attack, although this claim has yet to be independently verified.

Video sparks outrage

Authorities are currently investigating the situation to ascertain the facts and determine appropriate actions. The confrontation highlights ongoing tensions and underscores the need for better management of communal interactions during major religious events. 

One user wrote, " इस पर कोई न कोई गाईड लाइन जारी कर कार्यवाही करना अति आवश्यक है, इस बार देखा जा रहा है कि लगातार बढ़ रही है." 

Another user wrote, " ये गुंडे हैं इनके गाँव पे पुलिस को लाठी बजा के जेल में डालना चाहिए । इनपे पुष्प वर्षा की गई तो ऐसे में तो अराजकता फैल जाएगी."  

Another user commented, " क्रूर तांडव, भक्ति ऐसी नही हो सकती, सिवाए उन्माद के."
