Comedian Kunal Kamra's statement has sparked a storm in the politics of Maharashtra. Actually, Kunal Kamra had mocked Deputy CM Eknath Shinde, upon which Shiv Sena workers went to his studio and attacked it.
Kunal Kamra had referred to Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde as a traitor at an event held at a hotel in Khar, Mumbai. He performed a contentious song on Eknath Shinde with the help of a Hindi song from 'Dil To Pagal Hai.' This was an indication of Shinde's 2022 rebellion against the then chief minister and united Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray. His comments invited a quick response from the Shiv Sena, which called for his arrest.

Comedian Kunal Kamra today released a stand up comedy video on YouTube in which he roasted Eknath Shinde.
Within a few hours, Eknath Shinde's supporters vandalised Kunal Kamra's studio in Mumbai.

"We will ensure that you will not be able to move anywhere in the country freely. We are Shiv Sainiks of the late Balasaheb Thackeray. If we trail you behind, you will have to leave the country." Mhaske also condemned Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut for posting the video on X, adding that Kunal Kamra is a renowned writer and stand-up comedian. Kunal wrote a satirical song on Maharashtra's political scenario, which irritated the Shinde gang.
