In a shocking incident at a juice shop in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, an altercation broke out after customers accused the shopkeeper of mixing coloured water and chemicals into pomegranate juice. The angry crowd turned violent, assaulting the juice seller, Ayub Khan, and his assistant, Rahul. The collected samples will be tested, and further action will be determined once the results are received. Authorities have yet to file an FIR, as the investigation is currently ongoing.Accusations of chemical mixingThe situation escalated when Ayub Khan and Rahul, employees at the shop, revealed that their employer, Shoaib, had instructed them to add chemicals to the juice. This revelation further fueled the outrage among the local customers, leading to a violent confrontation. According to eyewitnesses, the two men were beaten by several individuals from the crowd before the police arrived on the scene.Meanwhile, the Rajendra Nagar police are actively investigating the case. Despite the serious nature of the allegations, no formal FIR has been lodged so far. DCP Central Harshvardhan confirmed that the police were informed about the incident around 10:30 am and immediately responded. “Prima facie, certain substances were found in the shop, and we called in the Food Safety Inspector for further inspection. Legal action will follow once we receive the report,” said the DCP, as per sources. He also mentioned that the Medical Legal Case (MLC) for Ayub Khan is currently in process, and any further action will be based on the medical report and witness statements.
