Bihar Political Stir: In a recent statement, Jitan Ram Manjhi disclosed that the Grand Alliance extended an offer for him to assume the role of Chief Minister in Bihar. However, he declined the proposal, emphasising his commitment to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). In a strategic move, Manjhi is now pressing for two ministerial berths for his party in the Nitish Kumar cabinet. He specifically named Anil Kumar Singh from the Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) as a potential ministerial candidate.

Justice in Representation: Manjhi's Stand

Manjhi argued that being offered only one ministry would be unjust, considering his political standing and contribution. Expressing his principled stance, he asserted that his commitment cannot be measured merely by positions and monetary considerations. With a political career spanning 44 years, Manjhi aligned himself firmly with the NDA, signaling his dedication to the alliance.

Oath-Taking Ceremony Delay and Cabinet Expansion Speculations

The veteran politician raised eyebrows over the delay in the oath-taking ceremony, hinting at potential discrepancies in the political proceedings. Traditionally, oath-taking ceremonies occur in the morning, followed by the division of the cabinet in the evening. Manjhi's observation suggested a deviation from this norm, sparking speculations about the underlying dynamics within the political arena.

NDA Dynamics and Cabinet Expansion Deadline

Manjhi shedded light on the cabinet expansion timeline, noting that discussions are yet to surface from the Janata Dal United's (JDU) side. However, he anticipated possible talks from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The cabinet expansion, he predicted, might materialise by February 5, with negotiations involving multiple constituent parties within the NDA.

Jitan Ram Manjhi's strategic demands and political manoeuvres add a layer of uncertainty to Bihar's political landscape, raising questions about the equilibrium within the NDA and potential shifts in power dynamics.
