Tejashwi Yadav confirms seat-sharing consensus

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, during the release of the candidates' list, asserted that Hemant Soren will return as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, confirming that a consensus has been reached on seat-sharing for the upcoming assembly polls. Despite earlier disagreements within the INDIA bloc regarding seat allocation, Yadav clarified that the matter has been resolved and RJD's share of seats will be disclosed soon.

His remarks came in response to recent criticism from Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who questioned Yadav's influence within the bloc, alleging that he had "failed" to secure a satisfactory number of seats, despite making multiple visits to Hemant Soren.

"The INDIA bloc stands united, and we will contest the elections together. Hemant Soren will be the Jharkhand CM again. A consensus has been reached on seat-sharing, and RJD’s seats will be announced shortly," said Yadav.

He also accused the BJP of undermining Jharkhand's development, labelling them as "anti-constitution" and "anti-reservation."
