In a major development, coming from the state of Jharkhand on Wednesday, sitting CM Champai Soren is set to resign from his post. This comes shortly after Ex-CM Hemant Soren came out on bail. legislators in the party-led alliance in Jharkhand are expected to agree that JMM executive president Hemant Soren should serve as the states chief minister for a third time. Hemant Soren will lead the JMM legislative party, the alliances leaders and MLAs agreed unanimously during a meeting held at Chief Minister Champai Sorens home here. During the discussion, it was decided to swap Champai Soren with Hemant Soren.Hemant to take back the reigns Hemant would become Jharkhands 13th chief minister if sworn in. Jharkhand was split off from Bihar on November 15, 2000. Along with Hemant Sorens brother Basant and wife Kalpana, the meeting was also attended by Ghulam Ahmad Mir, the Congresss Jharkhand in-charge, and state president Rajesh Thakur. On June 28, Hemant Soren was granted bail by the high court in a money laundering case related to an alleged land swindle, and he was freed from jail after nearly five months.
