New Delhi: In a disturbing incident early Monday, a man was arrested in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir for allegedly causing chaos and harassing an on-duty female doctor at a local hospital. The accused, identified as Gurpreet Singh, reportedly displayed aggressive behavior at the sub-district hospital in Nowshera, leading to protests by medical staff.

The commotion began around 12:45 a.m. when Singh accompanied a patient to the hospital. According to officials, he began behaving erratically and engaged in hooliganism without any provocation. The situation escalated when Singh allegedly shattered a windowpane and verbally abused a female doctor who attempted to intervene. He fled the scene shortly after the confrontation.

Outraged by the incident, doctors and paramedics halted their duties and staged a protest, demanding stringent action against the accused and improved security measures within the hospital. The protest disrupted medical services until senior civil and police officials intervened, assuring the staff that the culprit had been arrested and a case registered against him under relevant criminal sections.
