Jammu and Kashmir: Three army personnel died, 3 injured in terrorist attack

According to the media reports, reinforcements have been sent to the area where the attack happened.

Three Army personnel lost their lives while three others were injured in a terrorist attack on two military vehicles on Thursday, in the Thanamandi area in Jammu and Kashmir, according to an army official. The terrorists attacked two army vehicles carrying troops in Thanamandi of the Rajouri sector.

According to ANI reports, an army official said, "At approximately 3:45 PM on December 21, two army vehicles carrying troops were moving to the operational site, which were fired upon by the terrorist. The fire was immediately retaliated upon by own troops."

The operation is underway in general area of DKG also known as Dera ki Gali. 

The Army officials said, "Indian Army troops immediately retaliated after being attacked by terrorists. The troops were going to reinforce a joint operation against terrorists underway in the area since last evening. The operations are taking place in the 48 Rashtriya Rifles area ." 

Operation is underway and further details are awaited.
