A tragic incident has unfolded in Jaipur, where Babulal Bairwa, a head constable with 27 years of service, took his own life at the Bhankrota police outpost. The suicide, discovered around noon on Sunday, has sent shockwaves through the police department. Bairwa, who had been stationed at the outpost on Mukundpura Road under the Bhankrota police station, left behind a detailed six-page suicide note that has ignited significant controversy and protest.

Disturbing Accusations and Suicide Note

Babulal Bairwa's suicide note, addressed to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Additional SP Jagdish Vyas, ACP Anil Sharma, Sub Inspector Ashutosh Singh, and journalist Kamal Degra, alleges severe misconduct and harassment by these individuals. The note accuses the police officials of fabricating charges against him, which led to his suspension. Bairwa claimed that these officers had extorted large sums of money from suspects in three cases registered at the Bhankrota police station, only to release them later.

In the note, Bairwa requested that the Director General of Police (DGP) order a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the case. He sought the harshest punishment for those he held responsible for his distress and eventual suicide. Bairwa’s family has been actively protesting, demanding justice and a thorough investigation. They have placed his body in the SMS mortuary, and the Bhim Army has joined the protests, marking a significant show of support for Bairwa’s family.

Call for High-Level Inquiry

Before his death, Babulal Bairwa also made a public plea by uploading his suicide note to Facebook, though it was later removed. In the note, he extended his call for justice to Deputy Chief Minister Dr Premchand Bairwa, Cabinet Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, DGP UR Sahu, and Police Commissioner Biju George Joseph. He urged that the investigation be handled by the CBI to ensure transparency and uncover the actions of the officers who allegedly harassed him over the past 11 months.

Bairwa’s note also included personal messages to his family, urging them to care for one another and seek retribution for his tragic end. The note’s detailed allegations and his final plea for justice have sparked widespread concern and a demand for accountability within the Jaipur police force.
