New Delhi: In an incident that has left the local community bewildered, a dispute over staring at a goat escalated into a violent altercation in the Karaundi area of Ranjhi police station in Jabalpur. The bizarre chain of events unfolded when a young man was caught staring at a goat, leading to an unexpected confrontation with the elderly woman who owned the animal.How situation escalate The incident occurred on the evening of August 22, when 72-year-old Kaushalya Bai Ben noticed a young man from the neighborhood, Krishna Sen, intensely staring at her goat, which was tied outside her house. Unnerved by his prolonged gaze, the elderly woman questioned him about his actions. Instead of providing an explanation, the young man reacted violently, verbally abusing the woman and eventually attacking her with a stick.Violent attack on womanThe situation quickly escalated as Krishna Sen, enraged by the womans questioning, lost his temper and struck the elderly woman, leaving her injured and bleeding. He further threatened to harm her grandson, who had rushed to her aid, before fleeing the scene. The injured woman, determined to seek justice, immediately reported the incident to the local police station.Police investigation underwayFollowing her complaint, the Madhya Pradesh Police promptly registered a case against Krishna Sen. Police station in-charge (TI) Raman Singh Markam confirmed the details, stating that the incident took place around 9 PM. The authorities have filed charges against the accused under sections 296, 318(1), and 351(2) of the Indian Penal Code. A search for the accused is currently underway, and the police have assured that he will be apprehended soon.Kaushalya Bai Ben is currently receiving treatment at a government hospital in Ranjhi.
